Yoshiko “yoppi”

NY在住ボーカリスト。３月８日生まれ。

鹿児島生まれ、大阪、千葉、東京育ち。大学在学中にひょんなきっかけからスカウトされてジャズボーカリストとして都内のライブハウスで活動を始める。ジャズの歌詞の奥深さや哀愁、そしてインプロビゼーションの楽しさに魅了され、音を自由に組み合わせてスキャットや表現力を追求した。２００８年にニューヨークへ移住。以来、シンガーソングライターとしての活動の他、ゴスペルのソリストとしての活動、そしてリトミックメソッドを用いた音楽教室を経営している。また、コロナ禍より不定期でオンライン弾き語りライブ活動を始めたところ、数ヶ月でフォロワーが３０００人を超え、世界中の人と音楽を通じて繋がることができた。人の心に届く、感情を込めた歌声に定評がある。２０１９年にピアニストKana Kamitsubo全面協力のもと様々な愛をテーマに制作した、全曲オリジナル曲アルバム”The Love Song"をリリース。そして、2023年7月7日に二作目のアルバム”Bubbles"をリリースした。また、毎年夏に日本ツアーを行い、全国各地でライブ活動を行っている。


Yoshiko “Yoppi”

A vocalist based in New York. Born on March 8.

Born in Kagoshima and raised in Osaka, Chiba, and Tokyo, Yoshiko was scouted and began her career as a jazz vocalist performing at live music venues in Tokyo during her university years. She was captivated by the depth and melancholy of jazz lyrics, as well as the joy of improvisation, leading her to explore scat and expressive techniques by freely combining sounds. In 2008, she moved to New York. Since then, she has been active as a singer-songwriter, a gospel soloist, and has also been running a music school using the Dalcroze Eurhythmics method. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she started giving online live performances, gaining over 3,000 followers in just a few months, connecting with people around the world through music. She is known for her emotionally resonant voice that touches people's hearts. In 2019, with the full support of pianist Kana Kamitsubo, she released her all-original album "The Love Song," themed around various forms of love. On July 7, 2023, she released her second album, "Bubbles." Additionally, she tours Japan every summer, performing live shows across the country.
